I first purchased Sorcery after me and my younger brother saw Lewis & Simon from the YOGSCAST play it on YouTube. A channel that he followed but I didn't so technically my brother introduced me to it.Got it for my phone when the first and second parts had been released and I absolutely loved it. I believe that this is the first game I've ever purchased on multiple devices because it's just... SO GOOD. The story is fantastic, the way Inkle has put this together is frankly stellar too and it's an absolutely top-notch adventure.I must also say that I enjoy the look of the artwork used, it might seem a bit off but it just adds to the charm then we have the musical score which is great.Suppose that if you don't enjoy reading and using your imagination this wouldn't be a great game for you. Even so I do suggest that people try it out, the price is well worth it and it never hurts to try new things. Unless you say... jump out of a plane without a parachute to "try it out".The Sorcery! games also offer a lot of replayability seeing as how there are a lot of branching storylines to go down and such a fun rich world to explore.Easily a 9/10 for me.The only thing keeping it from a perfect score are some areas where you can lose important items without you noticing if you're not careful (read the text, don't just click passed it) as well as cheap deaths for those who are playing through it for the first time.. I wanted to love this game; it has a unique style. However, the game play was too unique - I couldn't really get into it.. short, fun. an excellent game by an indie dev. Cool usage of the reverse action mechanic! Will def need to play more alternate routes.. Great story. Very beautiful graphics. Your choices are important.. I like it. It's simple but it's got charm. Felt like I was in an old fantasy fiction (George MacDonald came to mind), doing what I'm supposed to do as an adventurer seeking adventure. A real delight!
